Bryn Mawr’s Math Department is Hosting Math Appreciation Week
March 25th through March 29th is Bryn Mawr’s Math Department’s Math Appreciation Week. This week will be filled with math memes, drag queens, topology treats, and costumes!
This Weeks Events
Monday March 25th
Math Meme Monday: wear your best math t-shirt, or print out and tape on your favorite math meme.
Keynote speaker: Kyne Santos in the Great Hall from 8-9 pm
Titled: “Math is a drag”
Tuesday March 26th
Topology Tuesday: show up to the Math Majors Lounge in the morning for donuts and soft pretzels!
Wednesday March 27th
Distressing Math Collective (DMC) with Rafi Small Haverford College ’25. Talk titled “Polls and Smoothers: Generalized Additive Models for Presidential Approval.”
DMC will be held from 7pm to 8pm in Park 245
Thursday March 28th
Spring Math Information Session and Double Pi day celebration from 3:00-4:30pm. The Information Session will be held in the Park 3rd Floor Atrium, and come eat pie in the math lounge.
Friday March 29th
Dress up as your favorite Mathematician Day!
